MarketingProfs says print gives marketers an. edge

 MarketingProfs  is one of the latest digital marketing blogs to weigh in on the value of print.

Article covers an infographic from Vistaprint, a companies that provides online printing of printed materials such a business cards and brothers, uses aggregated data. 

Ironically, MarketingProfs,  came of age just as the field of digital marketing took off, taking sizeable chunks out of the base of print magazine advertising every year, now says print gives marketers an edge in a number of areas.

Young people find print easier to read and absorb

Ironically, much of the information is specific to a younger audience, generally considered digital natives.

The research also shows, however, that despite screen time, “a whopping 92% of 18-23-year-olds find it easier to read printed content than digital.”

Direct mail is back in style

It also cites a recent factoid that direct mail today has a 37% higher response rate than email and that print outperforms digital in overall purchasing influence. The infographic is a well-made visualization of the current research magazines may want to keep on hand.

When the inbox is full, and the mailbox is not, the rules are reversed.

 “In a crowded market, print gives you an edge,” the infographic notes.
